On the edge of the largest contiguous low moor swamp of Northwest Europe, National Park Weerribben-Wieden, lies Klaas De Lange's dairy farm; Weerribben Zuivel. Weerribben Zuivel has chosen to adapt the farm to its surroundings: extensive, organic livestock farming, with an artisan dairy alongside. Most of the year the cows walk outside in a rich meadow full of flowers and herbs, and in the colder months they stay in a large barn. There is a lot of attention "cow comfort" and animal friendliness. For example, the cows can decide for themselves when they are milked.
