The name Helti is a combination of healthy and switi, which means "tasty" in Surinamese. Founder Marcel Pinas was inspired by his mother's loving and tasteful cuisine.

Helti started in 2017 as the restaurant Mr Salad in the heart of Rotterdam, a healthy hotspot where, among other things, the now well-known banana bread and brownie were developed. In 2023, the transition from restaurant to brand followed. The reason? Helti's mission is clear:

“Let's eat healthy and tasty
make accessible to a wider audience.”

Helti wants to make healthy food accessible to everyone. In a supermarket full of highly processed products, the brand offers an alternative: products that are minimally or not processed at all, made from the purest possible ingredients. Health is central, without losing sight of the pleasure of good food. In addition, Helti products are as allergen-friendly as possible, so that as many people as possible can enjoy them.
