Chef Centraal is Amsterdam’s foodservice wholesaler specializing in products with a compelling story. From our warehouse in the Houthavens, we use electric buses to deliver the finest, most sustainable, and most locally sourced products to over 400 foodservice customers in the Randstad.
We launched in 2019, weathered the pandemic, and have been growing rapidly ever since. Over the years, we’ve become the leading supplier to coffee bars. Our product range, service, and network are a perfect fit for these gathering spots that make the city so enjoyable.
Logistics is a major challenge; the company is constantly evolving to keep pace with growth and further professionalize its processes. Students from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) play a crucial role in the company’s progress in the field of logistics. We face the challenge of meeting the growing demand for our products, maintaining our service level, and increasing our profitability at the same time. The quality of our service is essential to retaining our customers.
What will you do?
- Receiving orders in the warehouse.
- Stock counting
- Delivery drivers help with packing
- Collaborate to increase the quality, service and efficiency of deliveries
What are we looking for?
- You work in a structured manner and have an eye for detail
- You think proactively about what needs to happen in the company in terms of logistics and claim your role in it
- You are in possession of a driver's license
- You are as crazy about delicious and sustainable food as we are!
