Wakuli is committed to improving the conditions of coffee farmers and making coffee production more sustainable. Globally, farmers earn on average only 8% of coffee income, often with no control over price and limited market information. Wakuli, named after the Swahili word wakulima (farmers), strives to reward them fairly so they can invest in a future-proof business. They support regenerative agriculture to improve soil and biodiversity and combat climate change. Wakuli works with partners to promote these sustainable production methods and aims to make all their coffee fully regenerative by 2028.
